Melbourne Mural 2004 by Rosina Lamberti
Melbourne Mural / The store was built in 1853 and named Dimelow and Gaylard before the colloquial name was adopted in 1904. That building was destroyed by fire in 1907 and the existing structure was designed by Melbourne architects H. W. & F. B. Tompkins. The clock tower was erected in 1910 and the building’s name changed again to Dimmeys Model Stores to reflect its high fashion status in working-class Richmond. In 2004, artist Hayden Dewar was commissioned to paint a series of murals representing the history of the store and Victoria along the Green Street facade.

Limon Y Agua by Dayonda
Still life- playing with colors, enjoying the tropical feel of the lemon, water, and fork on the table in the hot, yellow sun. I drew it on a yellow field because I wanted to feel the heat and melt/relax in it; smell the lemon; laugh with my mom about it, and be ready for a drink of cold water on such a hot day. / I can’t do that any more for several reasons, but the main one is that my mom passed away about 6 months ago. It reminds me of my mom because her parents grew 2 lemon trees at their winter home, and because she onced peeled an apple perfectly, balled up a paper napkin, and put the peel around the napkin. Her timing was wrong: It wasn’t funny to me at age 3. Now I’d think it was hilarious. So I drew it in rememberance of my mom, and my desert “home far away”. / 03 Jan 2008 Scroll down please. / Stillness Speaks This speaks to me of intense heat, love, joy, laughter. / I hope you feel some of the same as you look at it. (Sorry if it hurts your eyes) / Christmas & Seasonal Cards Lemons are ripe at Christmas in many areas, including southern California. / —-—-—-— / Featured in the Yellow Gallery, 28 Dec 2008: Thank you!

2 choices by Ersu Yuceturk
I was in a quandary about what to call this one. My other choice was to call it chances. The arrow points to what the future lies for this tree. If it rains it will look like the tree behind on the right, if it doesn’t it will end up like the one on the right ie dead and fallen. Is that a fallen angel on the right? The photo is as is from the canon 450D, except for the cropping.
