I had my second solo, first at the Historic Scarab Club in the heart of the art district in Downtown Detroit and one of my pieces called “Mr. Migraine” made it into the 95th annual Gold Medal Exhibition which was the month after. I phoned to ask when I should pick up the piece just after the exhibition closed and the Gallery Director informed me that Mr. Migraine had been selected with others from the Gold Medal Exhibition to go on tour with the Detroit Athletic Club, know as the DAC. For more information about the club visit there website. Truly an honor to have some/one of my pieces in such historic places. The DAC had a near 300 year history and the Scarab Club last year celebrated it’s 100th. It truly is an honor to be recognized as an artist by such institutions. I would NOT have been if it were not for my dedicated friends here on RB providing constant feedback and Bill Murcko a well known and wonderful portrait artist who introduced me to the Scarab Club a few years ago. His advise and intriguing conversation continue to inspire and nurture my artistic abilities. Thank you Bill!

As loans default and foreclosures increase, the lenders have to pay out more and more to hide the losses. But the lenders can only make this up by making more loans, because this is how they increase their cash flow; and now it is clear they can make nore loans, and thereby increase their cash flow only by simultaneously increasing their losses, since their “loans” are proving to be losers. So no one wants their”paper” anymore because-well-it’s the financial equivalent of toxic waste. The “subprime” stuff is just the first surge: the tidal wave is close behind. Because all of it, the subprime, the prime, the AAA and everything in between, is the product of a previously hidden, but now obvious…Ponzi scheme. A Ponzi scheme that is in the process of unraveling, as all Ponzi schemes eventually do. And what person wants to be the last idiot to buy into a Ponzi scheme? My point of dissatisfaction lies in my nation’s insufficient interest or desire to unite the peoples and nations of the entire world. Thus, I declare myself a citizen within the newly formed Human Nation, a nation without boundaries or borders, either geographical, political, racial, religious, or cultural. As a citizen of the said nation, I pledge to remove from my inner self all such boundaries between myself and other human beings. I will fight to uphold the new constitution, and to amend it where necessary in the defense of mankind. I pledge to urge my government leaders without relent to bring about policies and amendments that will further the cause of the Human Nation. I will publically praise any change brought forth to this end, and I will publically disgrace any change made against the Human Nation. I swear to follow and abide all laws set forth in my nation of origin, until such time as the Human Nation is whole and complete. I also swear to give my life, if necessary, to defend and uphold my fellow human beings, over and above all else, including the laws set forth by my current government.

The Waratah School of Arts building in Newcastle, New South Wales. The building had suffered quite a bit of damage when I saw it. That was what attracted me to photograph it as I was actually heading to a local skate park to check it’s potential for a photo session. I have opted to make this a global group because I believe that an exclusively USA member base perpetuates the Americentric focus that exists today in the United States.
