  • Tree Arch by Zig Urbanski

Stumbled upon this view while driving in the Lake District, Cumbria, UK. It was a typical grey clouds and drizzle, autumnal day. Waited 20 mins for a glimpse of the sun to added some sparkle. Then shot 3 bracketed +- 2EV exposures in RAW inorder to process a HDR image to match the view.

  • The Trees-Autumn by Janis Zroback

/ From the Series-The Trees-Autumn... Watercolour on Hot Pressed Arches…. Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, / Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun; / Conspiring with him how to load and bless / With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run; / To bend with apples the moss’d cottage-trees, / And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core; / To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells / With a sweet kernel; to set budding more, / And still more, later flowers for the bees, / Until they think warm days will never cease, / For Summer has o’er-brimm’d their clammy cells...John Keats.

  • Symmetry by Christopher Barker

Vast rows of deciduous trees can be seen in perfect columns, displaying their autumn attire, at this tree farm in eastern Oregon. Tree farmers sow rows of trees in varying stages so they can be harvested at different times and therefore produce a constant yield to maintain a consistent gross.

  • You know your addicted when? by trynaty

You sit at work all day thinking about a tree and if it will still be covered in frost when you get home, it was cold enough all day but what if there is a wind that knocks it off. What is the best angle how bright is the light going to be above it how can you get it with out the light. Yes that was my day, Well here it is.The frost was still there from yesterday I might add with even more actually it was snowing and cold and there I am out in the school parking lot snapping away. / It turned out exactly how I imagined it would once I PS’d out the fire hydrant and the staff parking sign that were right smack in front of it. A great day work I think. Nikon D40 sigma 10-20

  • Forest Spirit by imageaddict

Trees speak to us in a different language. They appreciate our desire for contact with them and when we reach for them their spirit shines down upon us.

  • Mimic by JamieGreen

Tarn Hows in the English Lake Distict on a cold (very!!) winter’s day. / What caught my eye was what looked like a reflection or shadow of the tree at the edge of the tarn. It wasn’t. It was another weird phenomenon in which the ice was thinning in the pattern of the tree. It wasn’t a shadow, because the sun was low to the right! Natural art, I’d say.

  • Winter trees by Victoria Kidgell

Taken on a very frosty new year’s eve. These two lonely winter trees are on Robinswood Hill in Gloucester, England where my parents live and I grew up.

  • Winter Tree-Blue Sky by BarbaraManis

Although it is winter in Southern Arizona, and the trees are bare, the temperatures are moderate and it is a wonderful place to be.  Today, the sky was so blue and the clouds were swirling around and painted the sky.  Taken with my Nikon D-80, 18-135 mm lens, CP filter.  This is my neighborhood, Green Valley, AZ.

  • A Very Spooky Tree by JamieGreen

Taken in the woods by Tarn Hows in the English Lake District on a very misty day. I could just imagine the hobbits starting their journey through the Old Forest on their way to Rivendell. Just before Tom Bombadill rescued them from Old Man Willow. / Sony Alpha 350 DSLR
