Winter Sunrise by Lewis Golbourn
Lochan na-h’achlaise on the last day of November. There were several other photographers in the area I went to, however I am very pleased that I found this view of the Black Mount with the small tree/big heather in the foreground. The islands are accented by the bank of low cloud which was rolling in. Canon Eos 5D with 17-40L, 1/15th second at f22 http://lewisgolbourn.redbubble.com/

Glencoe by Sam Neal
I was up glencoe this weekend, i missed two pictures featured which im extremely happy about. This is the view from Ben Starvie looking out onto the beautifull glencoe area. A hand tint was all that was added to just add that little extra. A stunning day with clear blue sky and barely a breeze.

Appin of Dull by Richard Ion
Not a very inspiring name I grant you but this view down into the Tay valley from Dull Wood was awe-inspiring especially as there were blizzards blowing by every few minutes: one moment sunny, the next you could hardly 50 yards. / In between, the light shifted rapidly and I managed to get this shot just as a blizzard was coming. It’s a bit of a ‘brrr’ image but I hope you like it:-) / Thanks for looking. / Richard Tech detls / Nikon D200 / Sigma 17-35mm @20mm / 1/160s f6.3 / ISO100

The Cuillins, Skye by Lewis Golbourn
A view across Loch Scavaig to the Cuillin Mountains in Skye. Canon Eos5D with a 1.2 ND and a grad, probably a 0.9. ISO 50 over a fairly long time to smooth the water over. I reccomend looking at this one using the buy/preview button as redbubble has squished it into a square for some reason. http://lewisgolbourn.redbubble.com/

Arran Flotsam by Richard Ion
Still on Arran but a bit of change of subject. Walking on the shore near to Lochranza Castle, this piece of wood, presumably washed off a boat or pier originally, caught my eye as it nestled in amongst the pebbles. / To enhance the graphic element I have then added a gradient map and merged it with the original using a saturation mix. / Thanks for looking. / Richard Tech detls / Nikon D200 / Sigma 17-35mm @ 35mm / 1/125s f5.6 / ISO100

Common Seal Relaxing, Arran by Richard Ion
As promised on the last upload, here is the cropped image of the lazing common seal on the east coast of Arran, close to Brodick Castle. / Less context here and more of a ‘light and shape’ style photograph. Always intrigues me how the photograph changes with even the simplest of crops at times.. / Hope you like it and thanks for looking. PLEASE look at the larger view – even if just to admire the seal’s whiskers!!! – lol / Richard Tech detls / Nikon D200 / Nikon 80-400mm VR @400mm / 1/500s f11 / ISO200

Common Seal Relaxing, Arran by Richard Ion
What with one thing and another I haven’t been able to contribute much recently but here is another photograph of a common seal relaxing on the east coast of Arran, close to Brodick Castle. / The next upload will be a detail of this one which has quite a different ‘feel’ to it. / I could watch these seals for ages – they just seem to have life sorted, hours of stretching and snoozing before a quick bite to eat and then more snoozing! / They love to ‘sunbathe’ on rocks but, it is more to rid themselves of parasites and get some good vitamin D than for a tan! Hope you like it and thanks for looking. / Richard Tech detls / Nikon D200 / Nikon 80-400mm VR @400mm / 1/500s f11 / ISO200
