Under The Sea by Christine Jones
My freeform handbags are composed of small knit & crochet “scrumbles” which are individually joined. I then start work on the embellishments. This can mean knit/crochet flowers, corkscrews and edgings, & often the addition of beads, buttons or other baubles. Finally the bag is ready for the lining to be hand stitched into place & the handles to be attached. Each bag is individual in design & the end result of many hours work. Original bag “Seaweed” has been sold. Similar handbags are available in my etsy shop

Power Grid by Stephen Mitchell
Found on front of Tractor during recent visit to Kangaroo Island. Found in farmyard of family-friend. Named as such because behind this grid is the power (engine) of the tractor. PS. Astride this engine was a bee-swarm making a new home inside the engine bay of an old BULLDOG tractor. (Don’t ask me about the BULLDOG, I was told about that later in the day!) About This Group
The focus of this group is on artwork that shows textures and structures of materials.
It can be the grain of wood, the surface of stones, crystals of snow, the color and details of fabric and more.
Whole idea is to see textures, colors and details of materials. Most of the time this means the image is rather “flat” compared to full shots of objects.
We will change the groups Avatar regularly and the owner of the chosen image will be a featured member of the group.
Textures and Materials is just one of 839 creative groups powered by RedBubble.
RedBubble is the place to share your creative genius with the world through art, photography, design and writing.
