  • rising fog by martin7

Shortly after moving into a new area to live and browsing a local map, I discover a reserve called Yarramundi Lagoon right near Richmond (NSW, Australia). Even if it is not necessarily on my way to work, I could not resist waking up at least an hour earlier and risking being late for work to catch something like THIS! God is great and all His creation and nature are absolutely beautiful! Mornings and evenings are definitely my favourite time of the day. I have visited the lagoon more than 5 times and taken more than a hundred shots but this is my choice number one. Enjoy. Nikon Coolpix 995.

  • Freezing fog over Darwen by ShaunW

View larger for better effect! Taken with a Canon 400D, Sigma 17-70 lens at 25mm, F7, shutter speed 10 seconds, ISO100, edited in Photoshop I trudged up the hill to Darwen Tower to see what had earlier seemed to be a spectacular sunset, alas as usual grey colouds loomed overhead!! This is the best shot I got! Darwen is a market town in Lancashire, England extending onto the West Pennine Moors. Along with its northerly neighbour, Blackburn, it forms the Borough of Blackburn with Darwen – a unitary authority area.

About This Group

This group is for those photographers who love to shoot in the fog or mist. Anyone with a passion for these type of shots is invited to join. I encourage all to comment on each other’s works to get them re-noticed by the public.
We all know fog is a chance subject, we dont have it available to use like we do sunsets or wildlife, or still lifes. So its ok to be on the group and add your fog or misty shots as you can get them.

A special feature to one of our members who has gone to the huge digital world in the sky Robin Fortin IPA
A very talented and helpful photographer, so full of life, and so young at heart.
Robin you will be missed.
If anyone would like to send their condolences, please do so by going here, this is a journal by keeli
