  • The Supreme Soul
    by Sharon Anne Mau

    US$4.66–US$106.40

From my collection: / Natural Impressions A composite image of two of my photographs: Alaska Midday Sun and the exquisite black sand beach of Hamoa, Maui Hawai’i “When He Himself reveals Himself, Brahma brings into manifestation That which can never be seen. As the seed is in the plant, as the shade is in the tree, as the void is in the sky, as infinite forms are in the void ~ So from beyond the Infinite, the Infinite comes; and from the Infinite the finite extends. The creature is in Brahma, and Brahma is in the creature: they are ever distinct, yet ever united. He Himself is the tree, the seed, and the germ. He Himself is the flower, the fruit, and the shade. He Himself is the sun, the light, and the lighted. He Himself is Brahma, creature, and Maya. He Himself is the manifold form, the infinite space; He is the breath, the word, and the meaning. He Himself is the limit and the limitless: and beyond both the limited and the limitless is He, the Pure Being. He is the Immanent Mind in Brahma and in the creature. The Supreme Soul is seen within the soul, The Point is seen within the Supreme Soul, And within the Point, the reflection is seen again. Kabir is blessed because he has this supreme vision!” Songs of Kabir ~ Translated by Rabindranath Tagore ~ Introduction by Evelyn Underhill ~ 1915

  • High on windswept ridges in the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest in eastern California’s White Mountains live the planet’s oldest known living organisms – the ancient Bristlecone Pines (Pinus longaeva). Some of these trees were already growing when the Egyptians built the pyramids over 4000 years ago. The oldest known Bristlecone Pine is “Methuselah”. This gnarled and twisted tree is about 4,800 years old – and still able to reproduce. But only a few bristlecones have been able to grow to such incredibly old ages, survived ultraviolet rays, extreme cold, wind, and aridity in this harsh environment between the Eastern Sierra Nevada and Death Valley in an elevation between 10,000 and 11,000 feet (3,048 and 3,354 meters) above sea level. These old trees, the oldest living things on earth, 2800 years older than Christ, are now strictly protected by law and guarded carefully. “Thank you for being a friend” Card / Laminated Print / Please note: RedBubble automatically re-sharpens and adds contrast to uploaded images for web display. That’s why some originally properly exposed, sharp thumbnails and large previews appear too harsh and too sharp. / Printed Photographs are properly exposed and sharpened!

    by Karsten Stier

In this painting I have endeavored to reduce the landscape down to its absolute minimum, focusing purely on the line of salt-bush on the horizon, with one solitary bird hovering in the air, to give the impression of the raw empty heat of a mid day summer where nothing stirs until l the cool of the evening. . . • Bryce Canyon National Park is a national park located in southwestern Utah in the United States. Contained within the park is Bryce Canyon. Despite its name, this is not actually a canyon, but rather a giant natural amphitheater created by erosion along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. Bryce is distinctive due to its geological structures, called hoodoos, formed from wind, water, and ice erosion of the river and lakebed sedimentary rocks. The red, orange and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views to visitors. source: wikipedia Taken with a Nikon D70s with a 18-200mm Sigma lens

  • Tonkawampus A Famous Local Chief, Chief of the Tonkas ~ Chippewa~ Sunset Reflections Interior Alaska Chena River Lakes 2008 Fine Art Photography by Sharon Anne Mau / Reflections of Beauty This is from my collection: / Chi-Hoota-Wei ~ Many Fires, One Great Light ~ Alaska As Is with no post processing Sky reflections on Chena Lakes. Titles and quote commentaries are Lodge names and translations of Order of the Arrow Insignia ~ Chi-Hoota-Wei ~ Many Fires, One Great Light ~ Links to websites with more information on First Nations ~ American Native Tribes “The Ojibwe language-otherwise anglicized as Chippewa, Ojibwa or Ojibway and known to its own speakers as Anishinabe or Anishinaabemowin-is an Algonquian tongue spoken by 50,000 people in the northern United States and southern Canada. There are five main dialects of Ojibwe: Western Ojibwe, Eastern Ojibwe, Northern Ojibwe (Severn Ojibwe or Oji-Cree), Southern Ojibwe (Minnesota Ojibwe or Chippewa), and Ottawa (Odawa or Odaawa). The Ottawa have always been politically independent from the Ojibwe, but their language is essentially the same—speakers of all five dialects, including Ottawa, can understand each other readily. Many linguists also consider the Algonquin language to be an Ojibwe dialect, but it has diverged more and is difficult for Western Ojibwe speakers to understand. As its name suggests, Oji-Cree has borrowed many elements from Cree and is often written in the Cree syllabary rather than the English alphabet.” ~ Source ~ http://www.native-languages.org/chippewa.htm
