This is actually the oldest piece I’ve posted in here. I did this back when I was a freshmen in college nearly ten years ago. Wow, was it really that long ago? Seriously? Holy crap, I’m getting old. Anyway, this thing was absolutely huge and I went though a a WHOLE LOTTA’ pencils while drawing it.

GOOD FRIDAY MAMMATUS I took this photo of Mammatus on a Good Friday before Easter in Ashland, Kentucky. The clouds first started rolling in and looked like fluffy white marshmallows. Then, in front of the setting sun, they dramatically began to change colors. They went from snow white to shades of silvers, pinks, grays, blues and even purples! The colors were striking and dramatic! For a few minutes they turned very dark, and it was a sight I will never forget!! These amazing mammatus clouds lasted about 45 minutes before they exited my area. We were under our second tornado watch of the year, and I found out later that I was standing right under the anvil of a severe thunderhead and that a tornado could have formed anytime! Luckily for me it didn’t, and I was able to capture some phenomenal, amazing clouds. I can’t quite put it into words other than to say, “I closed my eyes for a few seconds and felt like I had been kissed on my cheek by an angel.” This was one time in my life that I will always remember!! This photograph of Mammatus has won National awards, has been published in an Anthology, and has been shown on National television. It is also featured in several websites throughout the USA and Australia for educational purposes.

It’s even easier to hate your TV when you know it hates you. How does it hate you? / It gives you false choices – change the channel and you get the same shite – different station. It makes you feel inferior because you don’t have what the cool people have, or you don’t look like the cool people do. You’re made to feel like you should buy stuff to be an upstanding citizen, to fit in, to keep up with wherever the hell society is going. TV loves to dumb it down. YOU are the lowest common denominator. How to stop it? / Luckily televisions aren’t that smart and they all come with an OFF switch. Use it. Save your brain. Save your family. Save humanity.
