I took this in Feb 2007 in Lower Manhatten. The colour jiggery pokery was done in Dec 07 and since then it’s started to attract some attention. I think the picture captures the iconic nature of the New York cab and also gives a decent impression how cold that place can get in February

OK, so it’s a bit far-fetched, but that’s the fun of this kind of stuff, it lets you create your own worlds. I’ll not explain in detail the jet propulsion/exhuast system of the pachyderm as I think you’ll get the picture. Even on Titan they are into recycling – note the bucket and shovel. Acrylic and a few tears.

So this passed weekend I was taking some photos of this restored B-17G called the Liberty Belle. Do you ever just play around in Photoshop and then REALLY like how the changes affected your image? This is one of those for me. I know it’s TOTALLY over the top and I LOVE it ….... Hope you do as well. Click here to get more detail on this beautiful aircraft

A car passing in the rain, as sun sets on Brunswick, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. This one is not a taxi. The photographer has huddled under a tree while the worst of the downpour passes.

Ikebukuro is, after Shibuya and Shinjuku, one of the busiest spots in Tokyo. At night the opportunities for photography are everywhere. But it can be overwhelming sometimes. I usually choose to stay in one place for a while and let the action unfold, rather than to always be hunting for it. Nikon D300 / 85mm f/1.4 AF D
