  • Symbolic Wonders
    by Carolyn Staut

    US$35.62–US$190.00

While visiting the Grand Canyon, I entered a place called The Watch Tower. I was too much of a sissy to climb to the top. Waiting below while my husband and son made the climb, I looked up to see this marvelous ceiling filled with what I thought were Petroglyphs (carvings in stone) but realized that they were in fact Pictographs (paintings on stone). The symbolism is from the prehistoric art of native american peoples. Each symbol represents the spirit of who created them. As I snapped away on my camera, I was awed by the colors and textures. This piece is an abstract of what I photographed. Later, I will upload the original image that inspired me. I hope you enjoy this one.

  • The American Indian
    by Mary Campbell

    US$4.66–US$106.40

Taos Pueblo, located in Taos NM USA is still occupied by Native Americans. They live in the adobe structures, still bake bread in Kiva ovens, and throw lovely pottery. It’s also a big tourist attraction, where many go to take pictures. Recently they built a casino to help fund the community. This majestic native american agreed to pose for my picture. I think he must be a chief from his regal stance. Anyway, if you get a chance to visit Taos, definately make a stop, there are lovely shops of hand made crafts from jewerly, to musical instruments, to pottery and paintings.

  • Walking down gallery row in Santa Fe, New Mexico the art meca of the southwest, I saw this garden full of bronze statues (I believe made by the artist Star Liana York). The integration with the surrounding garden was superb. This picture is one of a series of pictures I took, just walking down the street. If you love art, someday you will have to visit Santa Fe, and be enchanted by the scenery as well as the local art.
