When I first came to Redbubble, I only had a couple pieces to post. I always reduced the size of my photos before editing them(making them too small for here), just didn’t have a reason to keep them full size until Redbubble. Anyways, I threw this pic up, just so I had more than 2 posted. I didn’t really even like it. The original shot’s exposure was all kinds of screwed up. I edited so much, I was just plain sick of it. But like I said, it was a filler pic. I sooo did not expect the amount of attention it received, much less that it sold. I’ve actually grown to really like it too. So I thought I’d share this, and the original shot with everyone. So here it is: This piece was my very first sold piece. It was also chosen for the Featured Art Page (before group featuring), featured in A Photographer’s Craft group, and was a finalist in the May US Scenic Photo Contest. Thank You!! • Winter's Grip...
    by Kevin Kroeker

    US$3.70–US$98.80

I finally found the tractor I have been looking for. I saw this old antique from the road and thankfully had my camera in tow. I braved the 3 feet of snow and frigid Newfoundland winds but I finally got my shot I’d been waiting to get. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

  • War at Home
    by Thomas Akers

    US$3.79–US$101.08

The scene is a small town in the mountains of Virginia, an area that has historically given a disproportionate sacrifice in the nation’s wars but suffers its share of the nation’s wealth. Bedford is nearby. It is the current time and there is a “Support Our Troops” sign taped in the window of a long closed business. December’s sun echos the contrasting theme in the strong lights and shadows thrown across flaking paint and rotting snow. An old man clearing the street speaks to youth’s absence from this scene. Yet it features endurance and hope also; life carries on. The building promises an occupant, as the sunlight and bare tree promise a spring and those at home do what they must and abide. 24×28” acrylic on linen covered wood.

  • Country Relaxin’ EarIier this year, ventured up to Guanella Pass and onwards to the Ghost Town of Como, a literal timewarp that harks back to the wildwest, fully intact and persevered, few folks still live here. It is high up, probably close to 10,000 feet, and this winter has been VERY bad in the high country. In fact just last week they interviewed a resident of Como and she talked about how the town was totally cut off of supplies…which made me right away think of the horses there. I have photographed these horses the last 5 years now, and I always find them so friendly…not your typical horses, these are true and tried working horses…where Cowboys still exist and the west still lives. Upon entering Como, I was shocked at the snowbanks, over 20 feet high, and they were plowed out finally from a construction crew using Caterpillars. And low and behold, so was the feeding field for the horses….... :) I was happy they were ok, as I was quite concerned, as they have become kind of a good friend to me and my camera. More on Como can be found here and here and it’s history as a Wild West town Thoughts welcomed / —-John

  • I guess the title says it all… Taken in Oro-Medonte Township, about 10 minutes outside of town (Orillia). Oro-Medonte Twp is the combination of 2 townships (happened during the county re-arrangements). While Oro was considered more of a farming area, Medonte also has farms, but the land here is hilly and the roads wind and curve and climb from one concession to another. This particular area isone where I shoot fairly often – further along the road (you just see the beginning of the area in the background) is a section known as “The Tunnel”. In summer and fall the trees form a leafy canopy overy the roadway, intertwined with each other the branches keep sunlight at bay on a hot day. In winter, right after a snow, the heavey tree tops bow down towards the roadway enclosing you in the winter cold. The clouds in the sky were enhanced with the Lucis Art “exposure” filter.

  • It is snowing here and I hate the cold, but who can resist snow!

  • First Snow
    by Thomas Akers

    US$3.79–US$101.08

The mountain town of Buena Vista, Virginia, the viewer would be standing up street from its main cross streets, Magnolia Ave. and 21st Street. It’s a community of working class folks; friendly and unpretentious. Down the block is the railroad tracks and beyond that is the levee between town and the Maury River. Further on, the wooded rise is park land where deer browse year around; unconcerned about the town folk who return the favor. I live here and enjoy the pace. The first snow is usually a wet one that hangs in the trees and gets removed late. In the damp mid-morning air it creates its own fog and mood as street lights still burn,

Wow! My first, and hopefully not my last, feature. I decided at 4a.m to check my account one last time before I hit the rack and saw a comment from BigD. I was surprised to see it was to notify me of being featured. This means so much since the painting was destroyed when one of our pipes sprung a major leak. So Rural America is keeping it alive. Thanks! BigD for the heads up. And thanks to everyone at Red Bubble for being so kind to this newbie. Cheers!

  • A Place I Know...
    by N Kumar Bellani

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Original Painting / Oil-on-canvas / 24X 20 inches Were These Mere Co-incidents / A Place I Know… ...Another incident that comes to my mind is my painting called “A PLACE I KNOW”. This painting I’d done during October 6 – October 30, 2004 in England and was displayed at the Slough Library, The Oriental Gallery Windsor, between November 1, 2004 to November 27, 2004 and at my studio which was formerly called ‘Arty Facts’ in Delhi between January 1-30, 2007 and was published by The Times Of India and Metro Now, two leading Delhi newspapers on a few occasions. (An image of this painting and newspaper clippings are reproduced here as well. The original painting is with me. / This painting depicts “ floods in the fields”. In October 2004 when I did this painting, while I was staying at Dr. R.S. Bola’s house at 46, Amberley Road, Slough, SL2 2LR, England,,, I had no way of knowing, in the wildest of my imaginations that England could ever see floods, ever. I had no notion at all…THE FLOODS CAME TO ENGLAND IN THE SUMMER OF 2007, WHICH IS HISTORY AS WELL… /

  • The Old Red Barn
    by Andy Mueller IPA

    US$4.27–US$114.00

HDR image of an old dilapitated red barn. Captured near Montandon, PA. I love the “painted” feel to this, especially the little shack-like addition on the right of the barn. You may have to view the larger image to see what I am talking about.

  • Road Less Traveled
    by Maria Dryfhout

    US$3.70–US$98.80

I wandered down a snow-covered country road this morning and found some beautifully covered pine trees and an old split rail fence. The old, dirt back roads harbor some peaceful and serene scenery that one seldom sees…
