Stripped of her beauty, she stands alone, firm and strong. / Falling into sleep as Autumn fades. A time to restore her energy spent. / The cold and bitter winds of winter encircle her, testing her. / But she is safe, her armour protecting her, securing her delicate core from the many elements, shielding her from harm. / The rings of time hardened around her, embracing her, allowing her to sleep without worry. / As every day passes, she will take from the sun, bask in the light of the moon and quench her thirst from the soil drawing strength from her foundations, allowing her to grow. / When the time is right and the warmth of the earth awakens her spirit she will yet again show us her splendour. Give us her beauty. /

Acrylic On Canvas Once,Ophelia had an unforgettable experience on a lush green mountaintop, she felt she was lovingly embraced by the beauty of the moutain there….it felt as if the trees and the clouds whispered into her heart wondrous secrets that few knew. Oh, how she longed for the day to come when she would be back there…to build her nest in the heart of the mountain :D / / / View other products of “Mountain Whispers” in my Zazzle store! /

The egret is going to a place of rest in the tree. Resting is good. It’s another way to rejuvenate the body and mind. A time when the body heals its hurts. A time to reflect. This is a compilation of the egret, and tree. The landscape, sky, sun and water were generated in Photoshop. The reflections of the tree and egret were created with a reverse image, and reduced opacity. I’m not quite sure if I got the egret reflection perspective right and would appreciated your comments. Pull over and rest a while. Don’t let the stress of your daily life and bumper to bumper traffic get you down. Stop and hang around a while. Explore my banks for something missed by the hosts of those rushing by. They give but a glance and often miss my beauty. Let the rushing today, be my waters as they babble on their way. Let my waters and wind be a song in your ears. Hear the quaking of my leaves as they rustle above you. Close your eyes and let me envelop you. See you feel better already ain’t you glad you decided to hang around awhile…..Little River from the side of Little River Road, Great Smoky Mountain N.P. A magic day gets me this close to what has become my friend. We sat together for a long time, in the woods. This king of all he surveys is as gentle as a lamb until aroused, then he becomes a spectacular and awesome sight. His bellow can be heard for a mile after a victory for the ladies. He allows me to be there, accepts me. I love this animal and all he stands for. Dignity, beauty, splendor, gentle, friendly, accepting, a bit dangerous, and free. 10 feet from antler top to ground when standing.
