Here is a photo I took this evening when I went to watch the sunset with hubby and the kids, it was such a beautiful sunset tonight so I though I would share, I have a few others but I might upload them in the next few days.

Dawn at Garie Beach, Royal National Park just south of Sydney, Australia. A seagull very obligingly flew into shot as I was taking this. Can you spot the silhouetted fishermen? / I’m lucky enough to live in one of the most beautiful landscapes I’ve ever seen – it’s only a little national park (14,000 ha) but the variety of stuff to photograph is simply endlessly inspiring. Taken at the Ripley’s Aquarium in Gatlinburg, TN. This shot won an honorable mention at the Indiana Sate Fair in my first ever competition. As requested here are the numbers for this image….. ISO 400 / Shutter 1/15 / Aperture f4 / 28mm focal length / Handheld I have to add that this shot makes a stunning print :)

This image was taken @ Port Willunga at the remains of the old jetty. On a recent journey back to Port Willunga recently, I’d noticed that many of these posts had been burnt. This was captured after a rain storm, while we were on holidays at Lorne. The sky lit up as though it was on fire, with the clouds reflecting the late afternoon sun and the resulting water lying on the pier also mirrored the sky and the couta boat, docked there.

Sea urchins are small, spiny sea creatures of the class Echinoidea found in oceans all over the world. The name urchin is an Old English name for the round spiny hedgehogs sea urchins resemble. Their shell, which is also called the “test”, is globular in shape and covered with spines. The size of an adult test is typically from 3 to 10 cm. These urchin ‘tests’ were being sold alongside some large clam shells. Sold a Mounted Print on RedBubble to a Mystery buyer.

What a glorious sky! (even if I do say so myself!) 3 bracketed exposures blended in Dynamic Photo HDR. I used the Canon 5D with 16-35mm at 16mm, f/8, three different exposures, ISO 50, and just one Lee filter at this stage, ND grey 0.9soft, tripod and cable release.
