Photographic based digital montage – 2007 (no 2 from series of 3 re-worked). Shot two seperate models & P/S combined them. I also draw in & enhanced part of the headpeice, the body, the dress, added a fringe to the face, hid the eyes, made the features more angular, blew up the lips, created cheekbones, reworked the branches, filtered wallpaper effects, extended the chandelier, added lacework/flower elements, desaturated the lot & added a sepia tone. Thank you to both models who wish to remain anonymous. Approximately 50 Photoshop layers. Just Sometimes (Song of Laughter and Forgetting) by Swervedriver – entered in Red Bubble ‘songmanip07 – Musical Photo Competition’. So many great entries. Regards to all for voting for this peice. I shot the tree, flowers & combined them in P/S with drawn elements & filtered the lot. Approximately 50 Photoshop layers. Generally I tire of my artwork yet still love this series to this day. The lot 60×60cms are printed on canvas gracing the walls of my home.

Title thanks to my husband… I was stumped and when I asked my husband for a suggestion for the title he said the daisies were natures beauty and shone amongst a gloomy winters day, which to him is the essence of winter. Sales of this Design? – 2 sales so far :) / Thoughts become Things is a mixed media production on thick watercolour paper. / The painting emphasises the idea that ‘thoughts become things’....here is a creative little girl geting stuck into making all sorts of things while relaxing in the bath (where she gets inspiration)....Just like me, when the inspiration comes it doesn’t matter where you are or what you’re doing, you just begin the creative process…..be it in the bathtub, shower, sitting on the loo…..that’s artists for you :D newspaper sealed with wax, fabric, thread, stitching, little typewritten texts pasted on, buttons, wool, string, golden thread, buttons, feathers, felt, you name it, it’s in this painting….

“The Road To Home” Ya know, sometimes I just sit in amazement when I am shooting and just look, gaze, and take it all in…..if photography has honestly taught me anything, it’s to see better, noticing things you normally wouldn’t even see. Case in point, this shot here. Most people probably just drive on by this place never giving it a second glance, but to me, it was something very special…...so special that I spent about 30 minutes here shooting it. Living in Colorado really has it’s benefits this time of the year…as Autumn sets in and the sun goes south, the light becomes so utterly magical, thanks to our elevation. It becomes so warm and saturated in the morning, that everything seems so alive….so gold. Captured on a rural backroad between Boulder and Lyons, the old road leading to cattle pastures I felt made a very worthy subject, especially considering the colors involved, the light, and the overall composition with the tree. Greetings watchers and welcome to Boreas Pass, Colorado at 11,481 feet high in altitude! This place is just magical….the wildflower fields go on forever…..and it is total serenity…no one around at all. Silence, among the high peaks. Gorgeous to say the least. You honestly feel like you are in heaven up here…on top of the world….where the air is so utterly fresh and the smell of the wildflowers is hypnotizing! You literally just stand in complete and total awe. Take it all in and breath….and the one thing I personally am proud of about this shot is how I was able to get that lighting! When I saw this image…..Daydream popped in my head….Our daydreams normally can consist of fantasies, wishes, hopes, things that may seem surreal, or even just the need to briefly escape from our everyday lives….and to me…the beauty of how this flower is complemented and enhanced by the particular color of lilac background gives it a natural beauty that is almost unreal..There is such vivid and striking beauty that it is very unique and pure..yet it is so very gentle and soft at the same time…The way the light streams in on the blooms almost gives the feeling of hope…happiness…life… Whether this makes much sense or not as to where the title came from…I dont know…but that is just what I knew the title had to be…. It just felt right..
