I have also used a variety of found objects, including lace and ribbons…and an especially beautiful gold paint for the wings which were underpainted first to created texture. On of my favourite paintings, my heart and soul went into this piece…two sweet little girls in darling dresses hanging out in the garden together….what could be nicer.

Included in the mix are moulding paste for the eggs, gold and bronze paint, silver thread, fabric, charcoal, ink, pastel and acrylic with a gloss varnish over the eggs. / There is a poem in the background in gold cursive handwriting, which reads: Hidden Treasure Golden eggs are not always easy to find / Sometimes they lay hidden in the pockets of our seams / Sometimes we have to look beyond the obvious to see / the beauty in others~ traits of kindness, compassion, nurture and / gentleness are not always obvious at first glance and / what one may perceive as a fault or weakness / may actually be a great strength. This painting was inspired by the scripture: I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. John 15:1,2 Acrylic on canvas. Original is sold.

/ Sailor Girl is a mixed media production on canvas textured paper, I used ink, pastel, and some acrylic…..inks are mainly black, acrylics are mainly white, you can see the canvas texture showing through the pastel, which gives it a nice textured appeal I am really into sailing boats, hope you like this one :D Here’s another one available in a print at last!
