This calendar was prepared as a tribute to the Bush Care / Bush Regeneration volunteers who have restored and maintain the natural beauty of Maandowie. Maandowie Bushland Reserve is about 40 hectares (100 acres) of natural bushland. It contains over 330 species of flora native to the southern Sydney region, some of which is classified as rare and endangered. It also has over 100 species of wildlife including birds and reptiles. There are also rock carvings and hand paintings that pre date European settlement by 100s of years. This calendar was created with various monochrome images from around the Atlantic province of Nova Scotia, Canada. Many of the images are nautical in nature including fishing boats, a wharf, abandoned shacks, an island in the mist, and other foggy images. Many of the images have a vintage nostalgic atmospheric feeling to them. Some are sepia-toned while others are pure black and white photos. All images were taken by photographer and digital artist, Scott Ruhs.

A collection of photographs taken in the small community called Sherbrooke Village which is located on the Eastern Shore of the Atlantic province of Nova Scotia, Canada. This quaint village has been “frozen in time”. The residents wear period costumes from the late 1800’s, and all of the local “businesses” are as they were back at that time.
