Louse, I am!
Lilifrog, thank you!
Darrell. Thank you for considering it worthy of inclusion. I’m not going to say I won’t add it, but I’m still trying to understand the nature of the FP project. I’ve tried to read your numerous articles explaining what it’s all for, but have found your style of writing difficult to decipher. Do you have a group page with clearly-written Q&A about the whole project?

Great title, wonderful dof and beautiful colour…... a fine shot Stephen.
Sharon Hammond, about 1 year ago
One of your best Stephen. The title is so apt. As usual your choice of aperture is excellent
Stephen Mitchell, about 1 year ago
Thank you Wanda, Andrew and Sharon for your great compliments!
Wanda, The title was the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the photograph appear on my computer for the first time!
Andrew, Thank you.
Sharon, Thank you. I ususaly shoot the same location at varying focal-lengths to see what is captured in each one. This was one shot, no second version.
I am tempted to clone out the bottom right corner, back to black. Anyone’s thoughts on that idea?

Mel Brackstone, about 1 year ago
I’m not at all sure it’s a rose, but it is very beautiful with those frills and the gorgeous red
Stephen Mitchell, about 1 year ago
Thank you Barbara, Ginny and Mel for your comments!
Barbara and Ginny, I’m glad you like this piece!
Mel, at first I wasn’t sure if it was Rose either … but “SWMBO”: tells me it is.

Great shot and perfect title. The depth of field actually helps provide a sense of movement, thus making the photo work even more!

Beautiful red velvet

Thank you Berndt2, for liking this work and for your observation of the piece.
Stephen Mitchell, about 1 year ago
Hello Ann, great description, Red Velvet would be a perfect second title for this photograph!

Excellent shot!

A truly great piece Stephen, well done.
Further to your idea of cloning out the right corner, give it a go, I would. But would not have noticed it, if you hadn’t mentioned it. The eye is looking elsewhere.

lovely color and well done close up ,very pretty flower
Stephen Mitchell, 11 months ago
Lior ... Thank you!
Pryere ... thank you! This card sells well as it is (I purchase and sell to friends), so turns out nobody is seeing the coloring in the bottom corner. I may still have a go.
Migkats ... Thank you, yes, a lovely colour indeed!
