Baby Porcupine
This little guy caught my attention near in Ptarmigan Valley, Alaska. One of that year’s babies… and still so fresh looking that I will admit, I wanted to pet him. Good thing I didn’t try!

Yes… porcupine quills hurt a lot and are hard to remove… they have also been used for decoration on clothes, etc…. and no, porcupines cannot “shoot” their quills as some people believe :-)
