I really like the light here. That and the great perspective from your angle of shot makes a lovely moody, soft scene of isolation. Your depth of field is good as is your focus and those colours, tones and contrasts are very pleasing. Nice work!
Ha! Ha1 Had same effect on me, as on Henk. Although not homesick but wouldn’t mind wandering around there. It is so much like the bench that I sat on, in Gouda, on my last day, of a holiday, in 1997. It was the spot where I used to pick up my two friends, Imme and Karin, and walk to school with them, in the early fifties. They lived on a house-boat. I sat there, on that last day and a little blonde girl came and chatted with me. She reminded me so much of Karin (the younger sister). I felt as though I was in a movie, like Rain Man. Even though it was early August then, it looked like this. (You know what Holland’s like!) :) I agree with all of Henk’s comments – almost!
