Loner
Acrylic On Canvas Abstract Expressionism.
Spare a thought for the loner; the soul ghosting the planet.
Your time is the biggest gift of all.
I have (after uploading and consideration) decided this is not finished. I wish it was, but I got quite emotional painting it. I remember years of feeling like this, having no one, not connecting with anyone, feelings of worthlessness compounding my situation. After all, who likes to admit that they are suffering from loneliness.
I don’t feel this way anymore, I am one of the lucky ones who finally learnt and accepted the value of another’s kindness as not being a weakness to accept, but rather a gift, because as we know, the gift is in receiving graciously as well as giving.
So, please, although I would like to do more work on this, I think it appropriate at this time of the year that we all extend our hearts and arms to those around us who may be feeling like this. Maybe a single person at work whose family live so far away. Have you asked them what they are doing for Christmas? Maybe the person on the street with no shoes. It doesn’t cost much to give them some, or a new blanket, maybe even a hot meal from a local take-away. The thing that helps is just knowing someone cares, and that it’s ok to accept their gift, for one day it will be returned.

Available for sale as Greeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints, Framed Prints and Posters

Hi Eveyone, I have just updated this with a little ‘blub’ / story which I think you missed, it makes the work more meaningful and I’d love for you to read it.
And if you feel lonesome this Christmas and are in Perth, my door is open!

I checked out your other web site. Wow, its impressive. You are so talented. Going to bed now. Wish I could have a day with you, you could teach me how to promote and sell on line and I would give you printmaking classes and um, well, be a friend???? Anyway, wish I had some time because I would love to be able to do what you do. B

Oh Billy, wish you hadn’t checked out my other site, today of all days, I was trying to edit it and it kept bombing out so I have a bit of unfinished business to fix up! Thanks for taking the time though, and hopefully if you ever go back it will be up to scratch again. And anyway… I think we’ll have a day together one day, I have a feeling my BFriend is moving to Melbourne next year which means I’ll be visiting your town! X c
