Party Girl

I originally intended this shot to be a picture of my son holding onto these balloons and taking off, floating into up into the sky … a fantasy, sotybook sort of image. However, my daughter immediately grabbed these balloons from him and started running off. So, as it turned out this eded up having a more realistic look than the one I originally intended, but I thought it turned out pretty cute with the desaturated colors throughout, except for the colorful balloons.

I like this one so well I bought 2 of them on cards. When I have the money I want to buy a laminated one to hang on my wall. I have went way over my limit. lol

The reason I let you know is because I wish people would let me know who buys my things. As a artist it would help us learn who likes this or that if we know who buys our work. Plus I am thriled to know who liked what they seen that they would pay money formy work. Also it makes people feel good knowing who buys their art. Well it does to me anyway. I sure will let you know when I get my cards. I can’t wait to see how they look but so far people at RB have said everything look very professional when they receive their pictures.

Yes, I just saw your journal coment about making a sale. And you are right! It is just as rewarding to know who likes your art enough to purchase it as it is to know that you made a sale at all. I sold a different card last week, “Tree House” and I have no idea if it was a member who bought it or a guest. Also thought you would think it is interesting that last year I sold an image at a stock photo site, Shutterpoint.com, and the lady who bought my work wrote to me at my email telling me how much she loved my work, and that she was using it to promote her tarot business in both magazine ads and on her website and business logos. She was from England. I am from the United States. Since then we have become incredibly good friends. She plans to visit me some time. It was nice to have made a friend. That was the only person other than you who ever let me know they purchased my art. Best of luck again and thank you for your support but mostly for your thoughtfulness.

I’m finally able to read other comments. I haven’t gotten the print yet but so far I recieved 2 orders in the mail so far. I can’t wait to see it and of course I’ll let you know how it turns out. I have no question it will be a fantastic print.

Not only does it make us feel good to know who liked our pictures but also would like to hear the feed back once they’ve recieved it to see how well it turned out. Plus for myself I like to say hey I like it so much I bought a card or print. It makes us artists feel way good.

Thank you Niclole, Rodriguez, Basiamc, and Ronni. Your encouragement means sooooo much! Ronni, you are so sweet, and I just can’t wait to hear how the cards turned out! Yeah, I know what you mean. It was such an unexpected surprise to make such as good friend merely out of a sale on a stock photo site. She was only a guest on that site ... not even a member, and it is really unusual on that site for the people who purchase your photos / art to reveal themselves. The other unusual part of this story is that at the time I was going through a crises, and she didn’t know this at all, but she really appreciated using my art for herself, so she offered to do a free tarot reading for me, and I said, “Sure … why not!” She knew nothing about me, and yet, she was able to explain to me about this crises that I was in the middle of facing. It was so odd but interesting. she was afraid to tell me, but I already knew it was happening, so it wasn’t so scarey for me to hear it. Anyways, as always it is wonderful to hear from you. Thank you for all the wonderful support you have offered me as well as the treasured feedbasck!

Heythe card has arrived and it is just as I thought it would be. I love It! I’m happy with the finished product as well. I keep looking at the card and thinking it’s so amazing how you can capture special moments like this. You have a beautiful talent and you have a lot of memories on pictures and cards. Also you are sharing those memories with us and the card is special to me. Plus I’m becoming to like the photographer as a friend which is even more special to me. In a week or 2 I want to buy a print of this one. It is going up on the wall above my computer. :)

It makes me feel so good to have meet someone who loves art as much as I do. hehehe I stopped by to tell you I bought this print. I’m excited to see what it looks like being it wll be a larger pint then the card is. I will let you know how it turns out but I already know it will be beautiful! This is a fabulous shot! I LOVE what you did with the “selective coloring” with the desaturation! It’s incredible. Very creative..and it’s the spontanaity (sp?) of the whole thing that makes it so wonderful. You have a beautiful daughter too by the way! :) Congrats on it being on the home page!
