I have to admit, I’ve been impressed by the current US election campaign. It’s generated some really incredible political art. One of my favourites is “Palin as President” – some pretty sharp political wit at play here.

A pretty firm place in history? Aside from perhaps Lincoln (and at a stretch, Nixon, but for all the wrong reasons), I can’t think of another US president who’s name is so well known.

Alas, they’re in most countries. Illiterate and uneducated, it doesn’t take much to deconstruct their arguments. Fortunately here at least we have pretty decent gun control so they’re not quite so dangerous on a Columbine level, but still, quite insidious.
