Wow, this is outstanding!!!!!
I love how you have captured this moment in time. Butterflies are hard to photograph.

May I ask how far away you were when you took the shot? I find with my Canon powershot digital that my shots are usually not sharp if taken from 6 feet away and zoomed in. Getting closer and less of a zoom often disturbs the subject with me, and they fly away.

Thanks, Terry! I was actually very lucky (or very stealthy) because I was able to get right up on this little creature! Within 10 inches, I’d say. He was a very patient subject :)
