i am slipping away.
i can’t help but wonder
if anyone else notices.
what am i doing so poorly,
that would arouse their suspicion?
i must concentrate,
on all communication
to all people.
i am slipping away.
how much goes unnoticed by me?
what do i forget?
what tasks slither by undone?
i thought this culprit was my foe,
but it has brought a sense of peace
and confidence and light to me.
i now understand what must be done.
