Seasons

The wind like a whirling dervish
Whipping up the leaves
The branches swaying fervently
Amongst the heady breeze
The clouds are scudding faster
Across the angry sky
And winters blast is closing in
When snowy mounds will lie
So take your memory back
To warmth and summer ways
When little drops of rain
Were all that spoilt the day
To spring and its emergence
From the freezing wintertime
And all the vibrant colours
Fresh palette and the vine
