this is so beautiful. I used to work in a nursing home. The elderly just loved it when children would comein to visit. I took my children in to visit a few times. My kids loved it and so did the elderly at the home.

There is so much Emotion in this, in the stare between the Young girl and I would assume her Grandfather, there is Huge light shining on her through him, his gentle grasp of her hand, very somber and moving image Beth.

I have many memories concerning times of loss in my family, these images let me reflecct on what could have been for me, I never had these opportunities and as I grew older I became bitter about the loss, and the angry about severed connections, I’m correction to my last comment “Grandmother is the appropriate word, am Sorry for the misconception.

I worked at a CNA doing in home care and worked at a facility for a time, I developed quite a soft spot in my heart for the elderly. This image really touches my heart!!! What a special moment captured forever!!!

Oh… emotional and meaningful! I was quite close to my grandmother. She had a similar expression when visiting with my young daughters during her last weeks. Not only did her eyes express her love but also her peace with the process, ensuring my daughters that all would be well. Funny, my girls also had the same look as this little one; a bit of fear and curiosity but trusting love. I love how you’ve enhanced their hands highlighting not only the love between them but also the passing of generations, death and renewal. Difficult to capture all of these thoughts and emotions in one image. Here, your photo is better than words… It’s turned me into a blabbering idiot… :D
