that which is real within
“That which the dream shows is the shadow of such wisdom as exists in man, even if during his waking state he may know nothing about it…. We do not know it because we are fooling away our time with outward and perishing things, and are asleep in regard to that which is real within ourself.”

Lovely Capture. Great showcase of HDR technique, from the details of sun light toward the top right of the shot , to the detail in the shadows in the bottom left.

First of all, let me tell you how jealous I am that you have access to these places you photograph. I could easily spend the rest of my life discovering and documenting the places you so eloquently immortalize.
Secondly, I am in awe at the respect you show these massive eroding churches of the industrial religion. If it’s your calling to portray the decay of American industrialization, you have done this with an artistry that makes words superfluous. Lighting, form, texture, color, composition and framing all come together through the alchemy of your style of processing to make sure these images burn deeply into our souls… impossible to turn away and forget.
This is the coolest and most amazing collection of images I’ve seen in a long time. Every one of them is masterclass, each a serious work of art that stimulates my imagination on so many levels. Kudos for blowing me away.
