My favourite tree 2

This is the same favourite tree that I already have a photo of but this time I actually stopped the car to take this photo!

I not only find this tree fascinating but in a way, quite intimidating due to it’s awesome size, age and mystery. With this treatment, I have endeavoured to capture some of the age, mystery and sometimes darkness of this old tree.

I love that the wall mimics the age of the tree. Somehow both show their age and reflect each others age in turn.

Yes, I just had to visit and have a look after your wonderful comments about my ‘Ice Blue’.

This tree – this tree is just a WOW. I love the treatment you have applied, like a cross between an etching and the backing of a mirror peeling off.
Although unable to guage the actual size, your words provide the added imagery and that description does the picture great justice and I’m ‘favoriting’ it.

As they say after the performers have left the stage – More, More, More!

What a great image – and I missed it on the home page, apparently twice!
As a bonsai gardener – I love the ‘aged’ processing you’ve applied to this image – giving it a timeless feel.

Thank you Paul! This tree is sooooo huge but it does look like a bonsai! I love bonsai’s but the only one I had I unfortunately killed… I don’t know why since I’m usually a green thumb.. Oh well,, will have to try again!

Ahhh, bonsai: they’re like babies – wonderful to watch and grow but fragile and delicate (and get dehydrated easily!)
