Oh Basia, there can be no greater gift than to witness a birth, whether your own child or that of another….. the energy of such miracles always brings tears to my eyes. What a blessed job you have and I can only imagine how wonderful the birth process would be to have you as the “mid”...... And to add to it…..the beautiful photos…..gee – I bet is must be difficult to watch such amazing beauty and not hold a camera for most of the time…...

I will be fully qualified in 14 weeks after 4 years full time study,, I have been actually working for 18 months as a trainee midwife already.. It will be great to be fully qualified :o)

What a treasure indeed Basia. What I love about this shot is that she is so new to the outside world that she is holding her body in a fetal position as if she were still inside her mother’s womb.
