A Bmail from Owkspook I know none of us have more time to spare for new groups and projects .. (grin) ... just had a flash idea and a poem to share … what if there was a group who were given a poem to illustrate to complement with a bit of our art (ok close would be Adawg (grin)) ... however I’m not suggesting there should be or must be .. but for the fun of it go along with me (big smile) ... and if you were given this poem what would you create? Deep within the lands of the Shan,lies the castle of the empress Wu,it is a mystical place,it appears in time and space at odd times. Who really knows the thoughts of the Wu,here on Shan, the Wu visits only when two moons come together. For it is known that the Empress Wu exists in many worlds and times, it is a fusing of her thoughts that meld her worlds. So look upon the Castle of the great Wu while its here. Just remember that the Wu is a great artist in time and space. A collaboration between *shanghaiwu and myself. I used the Wu’s image ”..its harder when you’re on top…........”* “May she always create well and prosper” AV!

Mermaid in the Mist by TedWiden
For anyone who “has a thing” for fairies and mermaids, you GOTTA check into the art of FairyLover17 . Renée has allowed me to use her work in the past, and was gracious again in letting me add her Aqua Mermaid to my foggy scene. Not everyone is able to see mermaids, and even fewer are able to photograph them as I have obviously done. If you do not see a mermaid in the photo, just pretend… make a comment about her lovely red bikini so other people “know” that you DO see her. If you DO see her, make an appointment with your mental health professional… soon! :) :) Profits from sales featuring mermaids will be donated to the International “Adopt a Mermaid” Foundation. [Renée, we’ll split it, ‘kay? Don’t tell anyone! :) ]

Digital Painting Sandstone Texture In collaboration with Pamela B I have recently had the pleasure of working with this talented young lady from Bedford TX, and look forward to doing much more work with her in the future. Credit for the shot goes to Pamela, I merely did some editing work to finalize the piece for her. I enlarged the work and then diffussed it and eliminated some minor defects and made small changes. I re-structured the jaw line a little bit and added some sandstone texture. The work was good practice for me, and I appreciate Pamela giving me the opportunity to work on my skills. I am a vibrant wild lily / Growing untamed and free / I open in the heat of midday / I spread my petals big and wide / And invite the sun’s warm rays inside / I am not shy and I will not hide / This primal power that lies inside All the other flowers / Run away and hide / Or openly despise and give nasty little replies / I do not grant them the bend of my pride / I don’t reply and I will not lie / Their stares and their glares / Like water off a duck’s back they glide All the bees want to come and see / What sweet juices hide at the core of me / They fight and boast and try to coast / Their way inside to hop on my feral ride / But I am a fickle flower with a wild root, see? / And if you can’t handle my strength and my power / Then I think it’s best son, / You step back from this flower This piece was inspired by my dear friend Amanda wonderful poetry / Come Smell my Flower Collaboration with Amanda ..
