/ Friends…this is another painting done with some playful techniques and skills all over the painting. Its done with oils basically and above that different types of gems, sparkles, tiny mirrors, clay, pearls and silk threads are been pasted on those pretty indian traditionally costumes which made this painting a piece of treasure for all art lovers. / / Its a painted moment from my backhome memories where girls used to carry different shapes water pots on their heads after filling water from either river or well they make fun all the way with all their friends while returning back to home making their lives worth livable by doing daily house jobs and playing with friends all around. A different angle of art has been viewed by my tallented friend Amber with her apt poetic representation looking at my painting…has been uploaded for everyone’s viewing and reading. / Hope you will have some nice time viewing and reading this artwork.. Shaping Lives.!!!!!!! by Shree
Hi Friends, This is an artwork reflecting real, traditional, ethnic & very original technique used by indian villagers for their own survival. Its nothing less that ” Shaping Lives” as these artisans not only give shape to our mother earth’s clay and mud to make some beautiful water pots but by selling them to the needy people they run their family and bringup their kids just by selling these cool looking clay pots which not only holds water but also the best of their creativity and art which gets hidden under those attractive looking shapes of terracota. If we look very finely on that water pots we can still find their fingerprints with which they shape lives of these creative & artistic pots for which they hardly get their deserved share of rewards. I know this b’cause i had also made this pots by sitting besides them but for me it was just a fun act while for them it indeed was a life shapping art. Hope you all will like it and specailly watch the wife who is so involved in this combined act that anyone can say right away that they truely are not just making clay pots but are actually “Shaping Lives” / / Enjoy the artwork made with oils and emblishments on it. The Beatles – penny lane In Penny Lane there is a barber showing photographs / Of every head he’s had the pleasure to know. / And all the people that come and go / Stop and say hello. On the corner is a banker with a motorcar, / The little children laugh at him behind his back. / And the banker never wears a mack / In the pouring rain, very strange. Penny lane is in my ears and in my eyes. / There beneath the blue suburban skies / I sit, and meanwhile back In penny lane there is a fireman with an hourglass / And in his pocket is a portrait of the queen. / He likes to keep his fire engine clean, / It’s a clean machine. Penny lane is in my ears and in my eyes. / A four of fish and finger pies / In summer, meanwhile back Behind the shelter in the middle of a roundabout / The pretty nurse is selling poppies from a tray / And tho’ she feels as if she’s in a play / She is anyway. Resolutions and Aiming for in 2009 on Redbubble / (This should be done by everyone on redbubble, in order to stimulate everyone and to do his/her best to promote his/her art. I hope that this journal is accepted in every group. This will produce more constructive work both for the individuals and also for the groups) 2008 has passed by and a new year has started. Everyone has his/her own resolutions and aims for the New Year. I will discuss mine with you. Emotions / On several times, I was on the verge of leaving Redbubble, but there was always something that told me NO. Most of this something was YOU : / YOU who bought my card, / YOU who add me to your watchlist, / YOU who favored my work, and / YOU who commented on my work. 2008 / So, with your help, this year I will aim for big!! / During 2008 I had nearly 20000 views(19506) on my art (excluding journals & clothing). / During December 2008 I had over 3000 views, my work was featured 25 times, I was featured 4 times, 2* of my art were used as avatars and I had a *photo featured on the redbubble homepage. 2009 / For 2009 I am aiming for some 36000 views (bringing a total of some 56000). / I am also aiming to sell at least SIX pieces of art. / (all this can only happen with your help). Also, since October, I stared my Monthly Journals where I record all my happenings in the respective month. Another idea that I came with was to create journals which gather together some photos to form a set. In this way, people visiting your page can get a good picture of what you are up to, and instead of one photo, you can sell a whole set:- / Maltese Boats / From the Past / I will gradually continue to increase these number of sets, and I will create a new Journal called Sets which will include a link to alll my sets. Now, YOU - / What are your aims? / What are you expecting from yourself in redbubble during 2009 ?
