On The Harbour Rocks by Gail Bridger

This is taken from my workplace in Port Hardy, BC. We were offloading a trawler and this little boat was coming into harbor to offload his fish, at another dock. He fell asleep and this is where he ended up, he was a lucky man that it was a nice day and he wasn’t going fast. He didn’t even put a hole in his boat, but the tide was going out so they couldn’t pull him off the rocks for several hours until the tide started to rise again. I imagine he got quite the jolt when he hit the shore! I have several pictures, but I think this one shows the story the best. Taken with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 / I am entering it in the challenge in the Harbor Life Group, see where it goes!! :) / Thank you for viewing and I hope you like it! /

Two retrievers attentively watching two fishermen on Lake of the Woods, Ontario. The dogs, particularly the little one, want to go in and retrieve the lures. / The little brown one went along on one fishing trip. As soon as the lure hit the water, she dove out of the boat and started swimming toward the it. Fortunately we were able to pull her back into the boat before she connected with the lure. No more fishing trips for that one! /

A group for Canadians and Canadian art and stories. The group is open to photographs, tradional art and written work.

All who sign up for this group must abide by the rules of the group.

- All art must pertain in some way to Canada, at the very least having been taken in Canada.
- This group is open to people of all citizenships and nationalities, but those living outside of Canada, please be advized that it is imperative that you follow the previous rule.
- All photos must be in good taste.
- Seeing as though I find there is a low number of Canadians on here, each member will be allowed no more than ten pieces of work at a time in the gallery, though you may rotate through a larger number of pictures into those ten spots.
- All types of medium are welcome
- Please be sure to include your higher end work to best represent yourself and Canada; perfection is not a requirement, but let’s do the country proud =)
