On The Harbour Rocks by Gail Bridger
This is taken from my workplace in Port Hardy, BC. We were offloading a trawler and this little boat was coming into harbor to offload his fish, at another dock. He fell asleep and this is where he ended up, he was a lucky man that it was a nice day and he wasn’t going fast. He didn’t even put a hole in his boat, but the tide was going out so they couldn’t pull him off the rocks for several hours until the tide started to rise again. I imagine he got quite the jolt when he hit the shore! I have several pictures, but I think this one shows the story the best. Taken with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 / I am entering it in the challenge in the Harbor Life Group, see where it goes!! :) / Thank you for viewing and I hope you like it! /

Lyme Regis Sunset by A90Six
A view across the front at Lyme Regis from beneath the Millennium Clock. Lyme Regis is a coastal town in West Dorset, England and forms part of the Jurassic Coast. The town lies in Lyme Bay, on the English Channel coast at the Dorset-Devon border. It is nicknamed “The Pearl of Dorset”. In the 13th century it developed into one of the major British ports. The town was home to Admiral Sir George Somers, its one time mayor and parliamentarian, who founded the Somers Isles, better known as Bermuda. Lyme Regis is twinned with St. George’s, in that Atlantic archipelago. Lyme is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. The Royal Charter was granted by King Edward I in 1284, with the addition of ‘Regis’ to the town’s name. This charter was confirmed by Elizabeth I in 1591.

About This Group
This group is exactly what it says it is, BEACH! We are looking for art that is photographed, illustrated, painted, etc., but it must contain the beach. If you want to put in shells, birds, animals, humans, ect, make sure that part of the beach is visible. We are going to begin a forum, for ideas, suggestions, or whatever. I hope everyone will participate. We would like to put a three per day limit for now. The group is growing fast and it’s beautiful. If guidelines are not followed your images will be removed. If you feel that your art is in fact beach related, we can discuss it through bubblemail. We will begin having contests soon. I want for us all to be proud members of this group.
